SURFACE PREPARATION
Pothole should be cleaned with a stiff wire brush and all loose material including dust should be removed with a soft brush. Apply TT RS1 tack coat for enhancing adhesion.
FILLING POTHOLE
Fill the pothole with ready-mix 30 mm above the existing surface and carry out compaction. The periphery of the patch should be compacted first. To prevent initial inwards pick up of the loose mix, continue to wet the hand rammer with water or place empty plastic lined bags on the loose mix. The mix is recommended for patching
potholes up to 75 mm (3 inches) deep. For deeper potholes, patching mix should be placed and compacted in 75 mm thick layers.
Although Road Primer are typically sprayed cold, they can be heated to ºC to increase fluidity. The fundamental advantage of using bitumen emulsion is its ability to be applied cold, although the product s aqueous phase defines its slow or fastbreaking property.
